Hello fall! At least here in Sweden.. And this means that the cold season is coming. I really don’t have time to get sick (who does?!) right now since my last semester in school starts next week. Therefore I’m doing what I can to stay healthy, and having a bottle of immune boosting shots won’t harm, right?!
Ginger shot recipe with lemon and basil
- 1 large knob of ginger
- 3 cups of water
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Fresh basil leafs
Grate the ginger (including the peel), and put it on the stove with lemon and water. Warm it up, and make sure you don’t boil it. Keep it there for about 10 minutes and put it aside. Add the basil leafs while it cools down.
Leave it to rest for about 20 minutes before straining it. I added lemons and basil in the bottle just to get some extra taste of it, BUT remove it after a while so it won’t leave a bitter taste.
Now I take a shot every morning with my breakfast, and hoping this will help me stay healthy throughout the cold season. I went through the whole internet to get info about why it’s so good for you, and these are my personal reasons why I always will have a bottle of ginger shots in my fridge.
Why I drink ginger shots
- Boost your immunity
- Eases pain
- Fights infections
- Support digestive health
So.. Hopefully a ginger shot a day keeps the doctor away 🙂 Do you have any super shots you take? (except at 02 Friday night 😉 ). Would love to vary from this one every now and then!1
