Spring is finally here! Since I live in an apartment and don’t have a patio to enjoy, I like spending time on my balcony. Last year I did a makeover and planning on making one this year as well. And today I took the first step and DIY:ed a balcony wall decor. Here I show you step by step how to DIY balcony wall decoration:
What you need
- Pot holder
- Punched steel flat bars
Start with measuring your planks so they are the right length.
Add punched steel flat bars in the edges so the frame is super steady. I had to predrill since the planks otherwise would crack.
Add the pot holders. Would recommend you to buy ones that already have holes so it’s easy to add them to the frame. These ones didn’t have holes, so I had to make them myself which was a little bit tricky, but worked out fine!
Time to add the lanterns. I added a nail on the backside of the frame, so the nail didn’t show. After that I bended the wire on the lantern.
And here is the result! What do you think? Have to tell you it’s really cozy when it’s dark outside and the candles in the lanterns are lit. Will show you on my Instagram later tonight. Will you decorate your balcony or patio any time soon? Would love to see your decoration ideas so please leave a comment in that case.
And you can always ask me if you have any questions about the project!
